International pupils, and British pupils joining us from overseas education, will undergo a modified assessment process. This allows us to assess pupils’ English language skills and learning levels, and to plan tailored support for each child.
- Parents may register their child for admission by completing our Registration Form, and paying the Registration Fee of £100. Details of how to make payment can be found on the registration form.
- We ask parents to also provide a recent school report and (if relevant) SEN information for a Learning Support evaluation. We contact the child’s current school to obtain a reference.
- Your completed registration form and supporting documents should be emailed to admissions@ola.org.uk or posted to Admissions, Our Lady’s Abingdon School, Radley Road, Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire OX14 3PS.
- Please note that a higher deposit may be requested for students requiring sponsorship.
Lower School Admissions
- Following receipt of your registration documents we will evaluate your child’s school report, if relevant any Learning Support requirements and ask any clarifying questions.
- When all has been approved, we will contact you to arrange an admissions meeting for you and your child, with our Lower School teachers.
- Your child will be invited to an additional meeting with our Head of English or Head of Languages.
- This will enable us to assess your child’s English language proficiency and to plan tailored support where appropriate.
- There are no formal entrance examinations for our Lower School.
