The percentage of A* grades increased from 7% to 16%, higher than pre-Covid results. A fantastic 88% of EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) students achieved A* – A and two-thirds of all students achieved a top grade (A*, A, B) in at least one of their subjects.
Five students, Benjamin, Aaryan, Alvin, Alfie and Benedict achieved straight A* and A grades, compared to two last year. Benjamin achieved an incredible 4 As. Alfie not only attained two A‘s in Physics and Maths and an A in Computer studies – he also achieved an A in Further maths. Aaryan also achieved an A in AS Further Maths, while Virginia, who joined OLA for sixth form achieved her first choice of university and the next highest grades in the cohort. Grades A* – B and C returned a similar result to last year with some students achieving a good academic growth on their GCSE results.
91% of OLA 6th students were offered places at their firm or insurance university at a range of top Russell Group and various other universities across the country.
